This annual canoe and kayak race is open to all ages and skill levels and sanctioned by the Ontario Marathon Canoe and Kayak Racing Association (OMCKRA).
Participants can register to paddle the river only or complete the full course through the river and along the shores of Lake Scugog to the finish line at Palmer Park! Compete for the glory and bragging rights - or just for fun.

Join the Scugog Shores Museum for an afternoon of hands on learning. Learn the basics of the heritage craft of leather working by designing your own leather keychain. Participants will stamp, carve, and paint their own leather keychain using various tools and techniques. Join us before your workshop in a tour of the Museum Village and explore the Harness and Cobbler shop to see examples of 1800s leather working and design.
Northern Ramblers Car Meet

Join the Northern Ramblers Car Club for their Annual All American Motors Car Show & Swap Meet. Club members will be exhibiting AMC, Jeep (prior to 1988), Hudson, and Nash Cars. Car enthusiasts and curious minds are welcome to join the fun and tour the show field and Museum Village for the day. This event will also feature children's activities, heritage demonstrations, and a snack bar.

Craft Show
Sunday July 21st, 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
Complimentary admission and tours of the Museum Village
Explore local vendors as your wander the grounds of the Museum Village, enjoy a guided tour, or grab some lunch from a mouth watering food station to eat at our picnic station. Kids can enjoy complimentary game stations, Seek n' Find through the Village, or try their hand at leather working (additional fee).
Medium at the Museum
Saturday August 10th, 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm OR 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Ages 16+
$30 plus tax per ticket

Join medium, Cathy Chafe, for a group reading. There is no guarantee all guests will be read. This is a 1 hour reading where Cathy channels the room.
Murder Mystery - Any Body for Tea
Sunday August 11th, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (approximate end time)
Ages 12+
$35+tax per ticket
Join us on the lawn for an afternoon tea with a side of mystery! This tea party gone wrong puts you into the detective role; talk to the hosts, look for clues, and, of course, enjoy a delicious tea.
Your ticket includes an light afternoon tea package from The Pantry Shelf including a sandwich, shortbread cookie, and scone with jam. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated, please contact us directly.
Heritage Day
Sunday, August 18th, 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
Special event admission applies
Celebrate and explore the rich history of Scugog.
Watch heritage demonstrations including blacksmithing, weaving, spinning, and wood carving. The young and young-at-heart can experience games, crafts, and discovery stations throughout the village. Guests may also explore the Museum’s historic buildings on the property and learn about their history.
